We have returned to the same hotel here in Amalfi. It is easy and beautiful. Hanging on the side of a cliff among incredible gardens, dropping to the jewel blue of the Mediterranean Sea. The decor is simple and that is one reason I adore it. The rooms have crisp white cotton bedspreads. Simple art and nothing extra to distract you from the reason we are here....the cliff of color, the blue sea, the people and of course the food.....and wine. I think decorating a home can be a similar; care and thought has to be given to the true reason you are there. Is it the view? Is it a special kitchen for family to gather? Does it need to be simple so you can feel the pleasures around you?
