It Isn't Just Black & White

Sometimes we need a bit of color in our lives.  That unexpected pop of a vibrant hue can add character to a room and put a smile on your face.  By keeping your color palette neutral for your bigger pieces (such as wall color, sofa fabric, and floor coverings) and adding smaller pops of color, you can change up your accent color without spending a fortune.  This way, you won't feel guilty when you switch colors based on the season, the current trends, or just because you feel like.

Adding color to your space can be as simple as painting a few brush strokes. By putting a vibrant color on the edge of a door, you can add color where your guests least expect.

For those of you who don't want to commit to a certain color, adding a hue to your favorite room can be as easy as a trip to the florist. Make a fresh bouquet the focal point of your room by choosing flowers in a bright, jewel tone. Not only will this pop of color add some visual interest, but it will smell great too!

One of the most popular ways to add color to a space is by adding a vibrant pillow or throw. This is a cheap and cozy way to brighten up a blah space.

By adding color to the back of a shelf, you can add depth to your space and highlight your treasures on display. Try contrasting a dark paint color with bright objects, or vice versa, to make your pieces really pop.
