London Travel Day 7

I guess it's easy to tell I love to look at hotel and bathroom design. Having designed a few commercial bathrooms, I am always intrigued to see new ideas designing such a... um...useful space.

There is a new Kit Kemp hotel gem in the midst of Soho (London) and moments from Mayfair. The Ham Yard Hotel (https://www.firmdalehotels.com/hotels/london/ham-yard-hotel/) has a cool urban village feel. The hotel revolves around a tree-filled garden with a great bronze sculpture centrepiece by Tony Cragg (http://www.tony-cragg.com).

When you go inside, the design is really amazing because it is (in my opinion) taken to the edge...

to the point that it almost doesn't work but then it is crisp and perfect. The photos online do not do it justice.

It is the hip place to be for sure. Great drinks and roof top garden...or tea.

I'm getting the hang of it here. Adjusting to the London vibe, style, and time!

Peace Always,
